Again... I am reminded of who I really am.

Home depot said that the reason why Maytag didn't send the washer, dryer, and dishwasher that I ordered on November 28, 2009 is because those products do not exist and that they are still in production and they don't have a clue when I would receive them.

Maytag says that Home depot was the one with the problem and that they shouldn't have sold something to me that didn't exist. (how would I know?)
Either way I spent $1,616.05 on machines that do not exist. Lovely...

So the phone tag begins.... and it drags on...........

Me, to home depot... I ordered a washing machine, dryer, and a dishwasher on
November 28, 2009 and I would like to have them now.
Home depot.. I understand.
Me ......... No I don't think you understand. We both agreed that these would be sent to me on January 28th and I've waited patiently but they have been back ordered again. How could you possibly understand? Do you have eight kids? I have been washing clothing with a wash board by hand (seriously) but now the charm is gone and I've started taking my laundry to the landro' mat with the leftover thongs in the drum barrels and the machines that take lots of quarters. Do you know how hard it is to find quarters now a days? People never carry cash, especially not change (try coming up with 3c for the post office sometime). Besides any savings that I had gained by buying a machine that was on sale was negated by the machines that eat my quarters

Home depot...It's not our fault. Black Friday wiped out our merchandise.
Me..........That's your problem , not mine. You should not have sold merchandise that you didn't have.
Me...........I'm pissed.
Home depot...I'm sorry ma'am, is there anything else that I can do for you?
Me.........Um, yeah, you can send a washer, dryer and a dishwasher to me today.
Home depot...
Home depot....
Home depot.... ( nothing continues)
Me......I hate to have to bring my laundry to your store. I'm not above putting a clothes line strug from my car to your sidewalk. (I lost my temper...again , I really am sorry God)
Me um..... How's about you giving me the cooperate office phone number for home depot?

Coporate office Man.. The problem is that they are waiting on parts from CHINA. Go back to the store and they will work out some sort of a deal with you.

So, I went back to the store and bought machines off of the floor. I don't think I got a good deal but I don't care anymore. The sales men were very nice as they had been all along. To be honest I don't even care about the dishwasher but I have to have the washing machine. I'm at my breaking point and I feel terrible about the whole thing.

It's a good thing that China likes us and will continue to ship us things forever.
(God please bless all of the people who make our things and please bless the Home Depot guys.)

Now I feel really bad- At least we have clothes.

Guess who's underwear I planned on stringing from "Christine" (my car) to the sidewalk? hahahaha

I feel bad about it though and I told them that I wanted a new refrigerator this time next year so go ahead and prepare the order now. hahahahaha , they didn't think I was funny.
Except when I said that I feel like I am living in
"screwed-ville" and the area code is 666.

BTW, I was looking forward to meeting Nate at that Pro- life dinner. What's the point of those dinners anyway?

I worked for Home Depot. It lasted two weeks and now I won't step foot in their store. EVER! Horrible people!

I just bought my fridge from Lowe's. The floor model was gone when I went to actually buy it. The salesman personally went to the loading dock to make absolutely sure there was a boxed one ready to go before ringing up the transaction.

They delivered it the next day exactly when they said they would and even called first.

Delivery people un-packed, set-up, and leveled the new fridge and hauled off the old one.

Salesman called to make sure we were happy.

All this for what was essentially a small sale...

Did I mention I loathed Home Depot??

I hate laundromats. I have some good (bad?) laundromat stories. But not now. I just hope you are back in business; too bad it took an act of congress. I'm holding my breath about our washer and dryer. They were bought in 1990 from Sears. So far they've been like the Energizer Bunny. I did recently replace our old avocado green Kenmore fridge. Went to the little mom and pop appliance place in our town, and they made me a good deal on a pretty white Maytag. Nice not to be trapped in the '70s anymore.

Amazing! I would have wanted to see the clothesline from your car to their store, but I'm glad you have a machine now. =D

Adrienne, I am having "box" envy.
I will never ever buy something on back order again.

China will screw us big time in the end. I hope y'all have a spare pair of shoes on hand for when they get all angry about something and say "we're not making nothing else for you folks, and pay up"

It's a time bomb.
