Just pretend it's normal.

I was at Walmart last week , and I saw a woman who goes to our church.
Her hair looked at least as tall as this womans hair who is pictured here only our "church lady's" hair was frosted too.
While we spoke I tried to ignore her hair , and pretend that everything was alright, while staring intently at her eyes .
I considered saying something , but I have enough people on this planet who are unhappy with me. So everyone that she meets in her life pretends with her that her hair is normal.

As Christians we do this all of the time. We ignore the obvious for various reasons. I remember back in the 70's when my Mom was courteous , and kind to the neighbor woman who was pregnant with twins by her boyfriend , and that was while he was still living with his first wife. Mom didn't want to hurt her , no one did.
In 1978 I remember working with a very sweet gay man, and never ever saying anything to make him uncomfortable , yet often times he made me uncomfortable.
You see the problem is that Christians have for decades exhibited "good christian behavior" by ignoring the sins of their neighbors under the guise of "Don't judge", "live , and let live" , "do unto others" , and don't forget ,"love your neighbor as yourself", but when you really love someone you tell them the painful things that they don't want to hear for the good of their souls even if they hate you afterwards.

This is dicey.

How do we tell people. Do we tell them about their hair? Do we tell them about their lifestyle?

How do you talk about this stuff if they are clueless about salvation, Jesus, Love?

This sure is dicey !! Look what happens when half a family (people) lives for Christ, and half do not. They argue , and they square off.

Gospel According to Saint Luke
Chapter 12
51 Think ye, that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, no; but separation. 52 For there shall be from henceforth five in one house divided: three against two, and two against three. 53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against his father, the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother, the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

If you were my dear friend . I would bring to you a photo , and tell you how pretty this new style would look on you. I wouldn't lie , but I would be tactful , but if you were happy with a haircut then I shouldn't say anything at all afterall a haircut's not a sin even a really bad one. ;)

I do expect to anger the wrong person at some point, and I will pay a heavy price for it.
