What more could  he have done for you?

Jesus doesn't force you to love him in return because he's a gentleman. He wants a real relationship with you
and that means a relationship that goes deeper than superficial warm feelings on your part.
Real relationships take work and sacrifice on behalf of both parties and  real  relationships transcend us into something greater than who we are singularly.
Jesus  makes us better people than who we really are but that's because he's in love with us.
He's done his part, the rest is up to you.

Many times I have imagined Christ singing this song to the damned either after rejecting his love on their death beds or on their way to hell. I imagine it's the first torment and it's heartbreaking because it doesn't have to end this way.

Sometimes Satan does win.

Thank you ladies! I love Easter it's my favorite day of the year.

Our weather has been beautiful and the food and company have been a terrific blessing.

Happy Easter to you both and to all of our brother and sisters in Christ who blog with me. Thank you all for your friendship.

You know, I think of what our Lord said to St. Faustina about "knocking three times" before a sinner is put before His judgment seat...if the door is open just a little crack, He can come in.
Not to encourage inveterate sinners here...I'm a priest, you know.
But it gives me great hope that the most "lost" will be given a chance, somehow, before they "lose it all."
Whether or not that happens, that's up to them.
During this Novena of Divine Mercy, I'm particularly praying for all those hateful, spiteful, degenerate and nasty folks who hate everything good, holy and beautiful. They are really the "poor"...Mother Teresa made this her charism, to minister to the "poorest of the poor" and many times said that the ones who reject God, although being affluent, are the "poorest among the poor"...words to ponder, I believe.
I don't reject the notion of Hell...there might be people who prefer their own twisted desires to the love of God, Crucified for them.
What a waste.
Prayers and blessing to you. A Blessed and Happy Easter to you and your family! FrJM

Thank you so much Father.

I know without a doubt that Jesus does everything possible to win a soul and I'm sure several attempts are made.
I know this to be true though I can't prove it.

This post was highly imaginative on my part. Maybe too much so.

Personally, I'm counting heavily on Divine Mercy.
