Times have sure changed as depicted in this Coke commercial. The other day my husband and I had two large kids and one medium kid in bed with us while we were watching two lap top computers and a television all at the same time!
***
There's no way in hades that our children would voluntarily play outside on the ice - or in the cold for that matter and last year when our activity director took us  to the Grand Tetons to enjoy a little nature, we nearly had a coup d'etat from our children who complained all the way up the entire side of the mountain (and all the way down) about how they were being mistreated which all stemmed from their electronic detoxification and forced exercises - which normal people call hiking. From now on we're going to take only our two youngest children
(who still like us) and leave the others at home.

Works for me.

Belinda - it really was like the commercial shows. I grew up on ice skates (in Minnesota) We skated outside after school until dinner and then went back and skated until bedtime. The rest of the time we were building snow forts, sledding, and trying to kill ourselves on toboggans.

And - I sure do miss those little bottles of coke.
