I'll be detained for a while.
I hope, Dear Jesus, it's not in the literal sense of the word.

Please pretend you missed me when I return :-)

The things I thought about while I was at work yesterday.
~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm what cha call one of those cougars" said my  election official co-worker, they call me that  because my husband is ten years younger than I am.
As I thought, um.....  lucky boy, then I must be what cha call one of those kittens ; ) hahahaha
~~~~~~~~~
The first half of the entire morning she complained about not being able to take a break and go out to her car or maybe run to the store to buy a salad or something. As I'm thinking, "Duh, That's why they call it work, and workers generally have to be at work to be considered working."
 I thought, "Why are you complaining? We're  in a climate controlled building and the most taxing thing you have to do is to sit and ask people for their names and addresses. Who complains about a job  like that?  For me it was like a paid vacation from my housework and  laundry.  I was looking forward to getting away from  the immature whining and complaining from  children for the day but apparently I was wrong.

She asked me how many children I had and after I told her she said something rude and crude which  I purposefully ignored but how could she have said something so mean to me after I had just given her quiche for breakfast?
As I listened to  her  I remembered that people are mean to others to build themselves up.  It helps them to feel better about who they are.
~~~~~~~~
While watching her I decided that I  need to stop putting myself down  because I'm a nice person and I love people and even though I struggle with my temper  - I really am trying and if I ever had  to choose between me and you - I would choose you.
~~~~~~~~
If gay women don't like men then why do they dress like men?  I thought they weren't attracted to men.
~~~~~~~~
I don't appreciate it when an occasional voter stands in my personal space and leans in towards me to return his voter card. It's rude.
~~~~~~~~
 Co- worker Bob is a such a sweet man. He talks to his wife on the phone a couple of times a day and she packs pudding for him in his lunch but I tease him because she never remembers to send enough for the rest of us. I like chocolate pudding too Bob!
~~~~~~~~
I'm told that if your wearing red, white and blue while working an election then you're automatically considered a Republican. - Who knew?
My son said to me, "Mom, when you get old and are in a wheel chair, I will put you in some wheel chair races!" I said, "That would be cool and when your dad gets old we can decorate his bald head."
 - Go and get me a pen.
For now the boy's gonna have to be satisfied with racing
 the poor unfortunate creatures he finds around our yard.
We found Bob - his pet frog, swimming in our party bucket of  ice water,
burr - May Bob rest in peace.
I have no idea how many turtles are living in our garden now. When ever he sees one along the road, he has to bring it home. The boy is clearly off setting the delicate balance of nature.
Dear Mr. Montalban,
I too love Corinthian leather because it's kid proof and kids can be rather slimy and sticky. I also love uber Catholics like yourself although I usually avoid  the Catholics who enjoy righteously slapping people upside the head with their pre -Vatican II Baltimore Catechisms and who suck all the joy out of our faith, but then again I'm not too crazy about the liberal -"anything goes" Catholics either who think "they" are all they need to save themselves.(If they even think they need to be saved at all.) My favorite people are ones who are faithful to the magisterium and who share the love of Christ with one another in an honest, accurate, and joyful way like you had done.
From wikipedia-  In 1998, Pope John Paul II named Ricardo Montalban a Knight of the Order of St. Gregory the Great the highest honor a Roman Catholic lay person can receive from the Church....
I found enormous opposition to my religion. It's like if you want to strengthen your biceps, you lift heavy weight, as heavy as you can handle, and work your muscles against resistance until it grows strong. I had to do that with my religion.
Ricardo Montalban
And yet I think of Christopher Reeve who said he would pay two million dollars to be able to feel pain again. What a courageous man! So I have to think that pain is a blessing.
Which came first the chicken or the car?
Our lovely daughter Elizabeth who lives in Los Angeles needs to buy a car but she's not able to shop for a car because she has no way to get around . She also needs a job but she can't look for a job because she doesn't have a car but she can't afford a car because she doesn't have a job... So here's my solution..
You become a contestant on THE PRICE IS RIGHT!
I've done some extensive google maps research and I've figured out how far your located from the Bob Barker studio and so here's what I want you  to do.
Start on West Adams blvd and begin to walk west ( your gonna want to wear your comfy shoes.) Go straight west for 6 miles. Walk AROUND the La brea tar pits and go three more miles to Fairfax Ave. (Don't forget to charge up your cell phone and ignore the colorful people you may encounter.)
Avoid the Bordello on 901 East 1st. Street. Google search has given this place very poor ratings though the D.J is supposed to be highly entertaining.
At Fairfax Avenue and Adams I want you to turn north- quickly.
Now I want you to run really, really fast through the Watts district and you should not stop to chit-chat with anyone.
Don't volunteer to call the fire department and do not ask for or give directions.
Just keep running and perhaps you could even speed up.
7651 Oakland Ave is your final destination. You have to get in line for FREE tickets at around 4:00.
*On your way home you may wanna check out the Bob Baker Marionette Theatre!
In my future posts I will discuss bidding strategies and I'll give you practice show cases to consider.
Good luck sweetheart. We love you ! XOXOX  Mom
*I'm also saying a Novena and pestering our blessed mother because she can get her son to make anything happen!
Every morning I pray a Rosary with our children in the car on our way to school. We pray for our daughter Elizabeth and ask that God will keep her safe and protect her from the Cali-creepers.(California pervs but this term encompasses all forms of creepiness and personal safety in the form of natural disasters.) We ask God to please send her a car and a computer both of which she desperately needs and lastly we pray as earnestly as possible that God will send her a creative job of quality work and we always end with, "Please God, no sponge bob square pant as an example of what we don't want to see her creating, please send her quality work!" Then we end our prayer with a thank you..
******
I just spoke with Elizabeth  on the phone and she started laughing when I shared our family prayer with her. She said, "Mom I have to go because I have a meeting with the creator of sponge bob in twenty minutes."
My reply was to her as follows.......
*This post was not a joke, she really did have a meeting with the guy.
We are your peers, we not your subordinates and you are making a grievous error in judgement by speaking to us as teenagers.
We will pull the plug when your most vulnerable just like grown children do who have an axe to grind and take it out on their elderly parents. It will all come back around to you in the end. Please keep in mind that your replaceable Mr.Chu.
Maybe my new friend Bobby can explain it to you. Teenagers use to love him and he says that he too has been a chump before.
Bobby Sherman gave up a career in the music industry to become a paramedic. Awww,
BTW, Mr.Sherman if you ever need a back up dancer call me. I can stand real still too, but I hope that you wont wear those pants.
Smiling Bob, who isn't really part of my "Bob's that we love" series. It's just a sad sorry coincidence..
Our Rosie (10) who was sick crawled into bed with me while I was watching late night television, and you could just guess who showed up couldn't you ? That's right smiling Bob. Rose said, "I sure do like that song!", "I can whistle that song !" I said, "yeah, it's a great song, but please try ,and remember not to." I began to imagine her humming that song during class, or after Mass during the long walk back to the class room.
It's just this kind of thing that makes me age disproportionately faster than you do. In fact I'm blazing a trail to my grave.
The first in my series - Bob's I love , but none of whom I personally know.
Bob said ,"We don't make mistakes, we just have happy little accidents."
He would also say as he cleaned out his paintbrushes ,"Beat the devil out of it."
I wonder what religion he was , and where's our titanium white tube of paint ?
Wikipedia says's about him ; Having held military positions that required him to be, in his own words, "mean" and "tough," "the guy who makes you scrub the latrine, the guy who makes you make your bed, the guy who screams at you for being late to work," Ross decided that if he ever moved on from the military, "it wasn't going to be that way any more," and "vowing never to scream again."
*On a personal note - that's why we love Bob ! He's sooo relaxing, almost hypnotic.
Happy little trees do actually make me happy , and who feeds your pet squirrel now ?
