Our supreme court has openly mocked God. Our nation had
a chance before the court conspired to sin. It's the united consenses that put America over the edge.
I'm terrified of what comes next,...when God plays his hand.

I dreamt Obama made this awesome speech and held everyone enthralled, but afterwards he went down to the basement with a piece of the wall from the building where he had just spoke. He handed it over to a worker who filed it with either plastics, metal, wood, etc for recycling. Many more people, were joining him and before you knew it, they had stripped the place bare, but it was okay because he, and his loyal minion staff were virtuously recycling, all the while verbally building one another up with some people being so enamored with the president, and holding him in such high esteem that they couldn't see that the building at some point is going to crush them and everyone else in the basement....
All the while I saw Michelle was trying her hand at modeling as she fancies herself a trendsetter.
*Restating the obvious, though it wasn't any less a nightmare.

I'm posting this video to confirm a comment made by our blogger buddy (Red) who resides over at Redneck reflections in which he stated the similarities between the Stalinist and Nazi use of iconographic themes in presenting "the(ir) leader(s)" and the semi educated "intelligentsia back at the height of their power compared to the way things are done today. (I hope I didn't over tweak his statement in an effort to tie it all together.)

It was such a surreal feeling to be browsing around the second hand store and looking at the housewares from the 1950's and 60's while listening to this song playing overhead. I said to the woman standing next to me. Geese, where am I? Am I still wrinkled and old, then we both laughed but yet for a moment it was 1967.
Gosh, I hope that doesn't ever happen again.

Okay,.... go out and vote today and vote like you mean it.
Don't vote stupid either because the rest of us have to pay for your mistake.
But before you vote, ask yourself one question - W.W.J.V.F.?
Remember to cross your eyes real hard and this image will appear in "3 D"
Your looking at an old image of a new building.

I had a dream last night that my newly deceased grandmother gave me a hug while I was sleeping. She wrapped both of her arms around me and locked her fingers together and squeezed me tight until I felt as though I couldn't breath and as I gasped for air she had a huge smile on her no longer ancient looking face.
Her hug felt more like the Heimlich maneuver than a kind gesture of affirmation so I told her to "Knock it off!" Which she promptly did and then she became crest fallen and disappeared.

As usual she was surprised by my response. Some people try really hard to please the people around them but they don't know how. Grandma never knew how to relate to me and I was never pleased with my grandmothers reactions or interactions with me. I just didn't "get" her, but now I see it more as awkwardness on her part and immaturity on mine and to be fair I do have a difficult personality. It was hard for her to "Grandparent" a child that acted as though she was born at thirty and didn't want to be bothered by anybody.

I'd love to tell the story about the time my grandmother gave me lingerie for a wedding gift but I shouldn't. I was horrified to open box after box of this stuff in front of my family. I was not a happy camper. I looked at her across the table all perplexed and she looked at me all perplexed and neither one of us said a word to one other as my mother hid her amusement.
The next morning those four boxes went to the Salvation Army (-poor Salvanians) and because I was such a brat I didn't even send her a thank you card. I should have wrote one that said, "Knock it off grandma!"

I've been complaining about urban renewal lately as I watched an old building from the 1950's get torn down this past week. It was an architecturally cool building with a rim of old teal blue tiles around the front facade and a super cool curved glass entrance. I thought it would have had a lot of potential but unfortunately the person who owns it now had no appreciation for it and tore it down.
(Clearly we need more artists because the rest of you are making the world around us really uninspiring and BORING. )
Don't even get me started on the myriad of deconstruction reconstruction projects within our Holy Catholic church. It makes me nauseous to think about it - seriously. As a person with O.C.D. I would like for everything to remain as the artists and designers had intended their project to look like from the beginning - true to form in colors and in style.

Once I attended a Mass in Wisconsin after the church had apparently been remodeled and the 1890's architecture was sabotaged with a make under that made it look like a funeral parlor from the 1960's but yet the work was done in the late 1990's !
What's wrong with these people? If you cant do it - that's fine concede and find someone else who can.
I'm not good at math but your not gonna find me trying to balance the budgets in some government accounting office.
