When is who coming for dinner?  Who already came to dinner on Tuesday. Who came in through the front door but who didn't have to exit through the back door,  Dolly had to exit through the back door but who didn't care.

(Isn't it funny how some pets look like their owners?)

Who will visit a Chinese learning center in Chicago on Thursday. (I'm assuming that like the  Mexicans in Kansas who make my Chinese food ;) - Mexicans will also attend that very same learning center ; )  The Chicago center is named  "The Confucius institute" which is designed to spread the use of Mandarin
(- and  BTW.. I love Mandarins  and American Chinese food but then who doesn't?! No, who does!)

Apparently sometime today, Senate majority leader Harry Reid called who ,  a dictator -which I found profoundly amusing but I stop laughing when I realize that the joke is really on us.

This card is reads as follows - (On the front)

Sold only by Berry Kelley & Chadwick
Office; Philadelphia .Studio
Berry, Kelly & Chadwick Publishers. Philadelphia .U.S.A.
(15) The Lower Pool, Where Solomon Was Annoited (missspelling)King, and
the Market of Gihon, Jerusalem, Palestine
Copyright 1903, by William H. - (I can't read the last three letters)

and on the back of the card-
The lower Pool, Where Solomon was Anointed King , and the Market of Gihon.
The so called pools of Solomon are three in number and are situated in a small valley which descends abruptly towards the east. The lower pool is the finest of the three. It is 194 yards long, 49 yards wide at one end and about 69 yards wide at the other, and averages about 45 feet in depth. It is partly hewn out of the rock and partially lined with masonry. Stairs are supported by numerous buttresses. The pools are, therefore, great reservoirs. From the lower end of the lower pool, as may be noticed in our stereographing, issues an aqueduct which was once connected with another coming directly from the fountain, and which wound along the hillside by Bethlehem to the city of Jerusalem. These pools , especially the lower, are well calculated to give us a high idea of the engineering skill of the ancient people of Jerusalem, whether or no(t) the pools actually date back to the time of Solomon. Our view also presents a not uncommon sight in the Holy land of a market or more properly what we would call a fair. The excellent water supply of the surrounding country makes this one the available spots for such a congregation.

Wow, one minute your up walking around and the next minute your dust.

Even though this film clip is a little less than ten years older than most of the films from the British film institute which I post from, (1896) the general attire and things that belonged to the people don't seem to have changed much from 1880-1910. Of course I wasn't there and everything is in black and white and more difficult to see but now a days fashion changes every 6 months and I can't keep up.

A few days ago I was reading a post on another blog (- a blog that's better than mine) about the angels. Our blogger buddy said that some people name their guardian angels which by the way is discouraged but that post got me to thinking about the relationship that I have with my guardian angel.
*****
I have never tried to name my angel because I figured that he/she/it  came with a name already and I knew that any name that I could give to it would be silly in comparison much like a pet name that lovers give to each other. I've never considered the relationship to my angels to be anything other than a working relationship - such as business partners.  I figured they have a job to do and so do I.  I consider the business of salvation a very serious one so consequently  I've never had an emotional attachment to my angel. It's like  - I send you  and you tell me what to do. You protect me and I obey. You correct me and I grumble. That's the kind of relationship I have had with my angel- strictly business although now that seems strange to me  as I reflect about my encounters with them.

*****
I remember one late evening when I was half asleep I clearly heard an angel speaking to me. I was getting ready to deliver one of our children and I was receiving some sort of instructions from him. I remember saying, "Yes, repeatedly after he would say something to me but then I stopped listening to the instructions  and I began to listen to his voice, and I thought, "I know this voice, I've heard it many times before, yet I had forgotten it."  Then when I was more awake than asleep I said, "YOUR TOO LOUD, AND YOUR WAKING ME UP!" - in my chipper fashion - my little way.

*****
I reflect about the  dreams I've had with angels and the instructions given to me in those dreams, a lot of which I still remember but I don't write about them because I figure people aren't interested in hearing about them and I don't want to come off  sounding as some sort of new age person because I'm faithful to the magisterium. I would never want to lead anyone astray and this Catholic faith of ours isn't about me or my dreams it's about Christ, besides most of my angelic dreams have been about correcting  my sins so I think perhaps your angel probably likes you better than mine likes me anyway.

*****
Thanks be to God for our angels and for the many times they have saved  my loved ones and  myself. If it weren't for them I'd be propped up to my keyboard right now with a chopstick between my teeth pecking away at the keys with my head bobbing back and forth and sounding very much like Steven Hawking, as there have been many, many near misses. Thank you Jesus.

*****
Snowflakes, ice crystals, and souls are never the same.

*To my children, never  allow yourselves be deceived. I know a man who quit the Catholic church and began to worship the angels which he believed his daughter had morphed into after her death. Only a fallen angel would make such a request. I repeat, there is only one way to salvation and that's through Christ and through the sacraments that Christ has given to us.  There are no new ways or ideas to salvation and no short cuts and if anyone ever proposes to you that there are other ways, I suggest you pull your head outta your rear and run.

I went to an estate sale last week and it was the strangest sale I'd ever been to. It was like something out of "The invasion of the body snatchers." The home was a beautiful mansion and it appeared as though there had been an unfortunate accident and the family who had lived there just disappeared. There were towels left folded in the linen closet and dishes with boxed food still sitting up on the pantry shelves. The bathroom had everything from inside of the cabinets emptied on top of the marble counter  and  blankets were lying in the sunken jacuzzi tub. The bedroom closets still had clothing in them!
I was too freaked out by the oddity of the situation and I had to leave. I can't rummage through someones drawers or closets.  It's kind of sickening.

The person in charge told me the family was in  foreclosure  downsizing - yeah sure.
Greed  has ruined is ruining us.
