Breaking news.... Tiller family closes clinic.

The Wichita, Kan., abortion clinic run by murdered doctor George Tiller will be closed permanently, the Tiller family announced Tuesday as Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-N.Y., prepared to offer a House resolution honoring the slain abortion provider.
Tiller opened the Women's Health Care Services, Inc., in the 1970s and it served as one of three clinics in the country that performed controversial second- and third-term abortions.
"Notice is being given today to all concerned that the Tiller family is ceasing operation of the clinic and any involvement by family members in any other similar clinic," Tiller family attorneys Lee Thompson and Dan Monnat said in a statement.
"We are proud of the service and courage shown by our husband and father and know that women's health care needs have been met because of his dedication and service. That is a legacy that will never die. The family will honor Dr. Tiller's memory through private charitable activities," the attorneys said.
Tiller, who in March was acquitted on 19 misdemeanor charges related to his practice, was fatally shot while serving as an usher in his church on May 31. The murder drew a flood of denunciations from President Obama along with liberal and conservative lawmakers and abortion rights groups and abortion foes.
Attorney General Eric Holder ordered the U.S. Marshals' service to "increase security for a number of individuals and facilities" although officials provided no specifics.Fox news source.

To my children. I am blessed to be your Mom.

Love You Forever

A mother held her new baby and very slowly rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while she held him, she sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

The baby grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. He grew until he was two years old, and he ran all around the house. He pulled all the books off the shelves. He pulled all the food out of the refrigerator and he took his mother's watch and flushed it down the toilet. Sometimes his mother would say, "this kid is driving me CRAZY!"

But at night time, when that two-year-old was quiet, she opened the door to his room, crawled across the floor, looked up over the side of his bed; and if he was really asleep she picked him up and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. While she rocked him she sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

The little boy grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. He grew until he was nine years old. And he never wanted to come in for dinner, he never wanted to take a bath, and when grandma visited he always said bad words. Sometimes his mother wanted to sell him to the zoo!

But at night time, when he was asleep, the mother quietly opened the door to his room, crawled across the floor and looked up over the side of the bed. If he was really asleep, she picked up that nine-year-old boy and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while she rocked him she sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

The boy grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. He grew until he was a teenager. He had strange friends and he wore strange clothes and he listened to strange music. Sometimes the mother felt like she was in a zoo!

But at night time, when that teenager was asleep, the mother opened the door to his room, crawled across the floor and looked up over the side of the bed. If he was really asleep she picked up that great big boy and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. While she rocked him she sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

That teenager grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. He grew until he was a grown-up man. He left home and got a house across town. But sometimes on dark nights the mother got into her car and drove across town. If all the lights in her son's house were out, she opened his bedroom window, crawled across the floor, and looked up over the side of his bed. If that great big man was really asleep she picked him up and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while she rocked him she sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

Well, that mother, she got older. She got older and older and older. One day she called up her son and said, "You'd better come see me because I'm very old and sick." So her son came to see her. When he came in the door she tried to sing the song. She sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always...

But she couldn't finish because she was too old and sick. The son went to his mother. He picked her up and rocked her back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And he sang this song:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my Mommy you'll be.

When the son came home that night, he stood for a long time at the top of the stairs. Then he went into the room where his very new baby daughter was sleeping. He picked her up in his arms and very slowly rocked her back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while he rocked her he sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

Jesus I trust in you.

I love that your the boss, and that you're in control of everything. Sometimes I forget that. It's one of my favorite things about you.

The first time that I heard this song I was about 12 years old.

I remember thinking , Dear God , are you for real ,and do you even care about me, and what will become of me. I was young and worried ,and filled with anxiety about my future.
Now fast forward to yesterday, and I caught myself still worrying about my future, but why Lord. My life has turned out great. Really far better than I could have imagined that it would have. Pessimism has worked for me. I've not been disappointed. I believe that my life has turned out for the better because I gave my life entirely over to you. After you sent the twins you broke me. For the most part that's when I stopped fighting you.
You have sent some really wonderful people into my life, and took care of me Lord. It's strange that while I was living my life I couldn't see how wonderful it was. I didn't know what I had, but I know now God.
I know that what ever happens to me, and to our family in my future, and no matter how good or bad it gets that you will be with me -with us. Draw us closer to you Lord and comfort us.
I'm the same person that I have always been ,and I still hate the steel guitar.

Modern Day Mortifications - Day 4

I am on the far right, Paul is in the middle , and our Joseph is in front of us.
He looks old for his age - He's five.

My dear husband has to help me dress - 'cause I've only got one good arm.
But the worst part is what I have to wear if he's at work - my "crock shoes", and my white elastic waist skirt , and you know it's not even "Labor day" yet.

Day 2 Modern day mortification. I got a cast for Lent - That shows my level of commitment.

Dear God, you know how much women love those before and after photos, so I decided to add my own , however mine were worse after than before which cracks me up .

This is me on codeine. I am wearing my mighty mouse T shirt because you don't wear nice clothing while your getting plastered.
*********************************************
Paul took us to the park , and I brought Joseph, and Rose's razor scooters along. I decided to ride the scooter again , but this time I wanted to impress my boy's. (Paul ,and Joseph) So I sped down the sidewalk on a hill , and at first I was pleased with the kinda speed that I was pulling when it suddenly occurred to me that I couldn't remember where the brake was so I jumped off only to realize that my legs can't go the kinda speed with which my body was now in motion. Yeah, at this point I looked like a cartoon. I aimed my crash for the grassy Knoll , but I over shot it only to hit the concrete , and I stopped the entire process with my left hand.
As I began to walk back to my family, the sky grew dark, and the grass began to look funny so I laid down on the ground, and that's all I can remember.
When I came to , Paul was asking me if I was alright about 50 times, and Kate was pulling on the chunky nubs that had been my fingers, and she said Mom can you move your fingers? I said yes, but not very well . Not as well as you're moving them for me. Then she began twisting my wrist , and she said Mom can you feel that ? I said yeah, Kate I can. Well does it hurt? I said yeah, Kate - it does. Um, a lot. Then she presses on various parts of my hand , and she says's to me can you move it? I said AGAIN , well no not as well as you can, but then Paul yelled at her - KATE STOP TOUCHING YOUR MOTHER. Then I thought a Charismatic thought to myself - praise the Lord , but I couldn't raise my arms. However I was swaying back , and forth, and talking to God .
BTW . Both of my boys were impressed with my cast ! I am told that it costs $400.00, and to think that I could have bought a pretty Easter dress for that . ( another "two -fer" mortification wise)

These are the days of divine mercy. Come on, get on board - your time is running out.

Jesus said to Sister Faustina- "My great delight is to unite Myself with souls ... When I come to a human heart in Holy Communion, My hands are full of all kinds of graces which I want to give to the soul. But souls do not even pay any attention to Me; they leave Me to Myself and busy themselves with other things. Oh, how sad I am that souls do not recognize Love! They treat Me as a dead object.

Kate's test results are back from the lab,

Thanks, and praise to God.
Kate's blood work is now fine.
Katie likes to keep her parents on the edge.
Dear God, Thank you, thank you , thank you.
BTW...God who is raising Kate, is it you ,
or is it Paul , and I ?
Your doing most of the work aren't you?
You are always working for her behind the scenes , by sending
wonderful people to help her.
Please remember all of these people for their kindness.
Especially her teachers who bend over backwards for her ,
and yet she is too immature ,and ungrateful to understand.
Please help her to know you , and to love you.
Please God never forget her even if she should forget about you.
But most importantly please never remove yourself from her.
I would rather you leave me first, and I pray that , that never happens.
Let her always know that she is loved , and wanted -even though we get fed up with her.
Thanks God , Love Belinda

Father Brossart- Look at that man fish!!

Fr. Scott W. Brossart-
I founded this group on Christmas Day as a gift to Jesus on His Birthday. My intention is to help and challenge each and every Christian to come closer to Jesus and to accept and live EVERYTHING He handed on to us in our Faith. If you know of any Christian who is open to the fullness of the Faith or desires it, even if they are not Catholic, I would like you to challenge them to join and to seriously take that step out into the DEEP in Christ.

Belinda's response to our good Fr. Brossart-
I would like to suggest that perhaps it is more difficult to grow into a deeper relationship with Jesus without that relationship being based on trust. Once you have learned to trust that God himself will meet your needs then your relationship will bloom, and flourish, this relationship of total, and complete trust is undermined when a person / couple uses birth control. They are in essence saying first , and foremost that they know better than God , and that they don't trust that God will provide for them -by his divine assistance.
Every large family knows that their existence is totally, and completely dependent upon God. If I use birth control , then I am depending on "ME", and I am placing my faith in a product, and in myself , and I am playing God.
When I say "NO" to God then it's not just a trust issue anymore , you have complicated the whole matter, and God takes a "No" from a person very seriously.
Flying without a parachute is very scary, but it must be done. This is how God reveals himself to us. He waits to save us , and he waits to assist us. Like any good Father would.
I feel that this is one of the very "basic" ideas of trust that must be overcome before a soul can go any further. Why should you learn to depend upon God if you don't need anything- Food... shelter... or clothing, and the necessary miscellaneous items. God wants you to depend upon him, and to cling to him. He waits for you. YOU , the person who is reading this , but no matter what kind of life that you choose for yourself , you will still suffer in some way so if your trying to avoid suffering it just isn't going to happen for you , or for any of us.

*BTW - Father, how fast can you run in those shoes? You never know with nature,
when the need might occur :-)
Father can be reached over on Facebook- He's a "soul- man" that's his job
- go over , and say "hi" , he's very nice.

Why I will unintentionally die a slow painful death for my faith, or "why we bleed green"

This is a re-post .
I am working to produce a Christmas feast, and also to pretty much sterilize the house.
Our dentist tells me yesterday that Kate needs braces. Kate was over the moon with joy, and has told everyone repeatedly how happy she is about this. I wondered to myself "where did Ana put her old braces , she isn't using them anymore. Then I choked back the lump in my throat, and proceed to tell my poor overburdened husband the news. All the while Kate is doing a celebratory dance of jubilation in the kitchen (much like a Pentecostal) .She said braces will be FUN!! Sarah says's to her ,"knock it off Kate, can't you see that this is upsetting for other people"?There are unintended consequences for saying yes to God. Each time that I was pregnant I trusted that God would send the resources necessary to grow, and fulfill his will for these children. He has not betrayed me ,however unfortunately for my husband, and myself, our suffering is a part of that equation (and I hate math- reference my brain diagram). We are already overburdened financially. We are paying for Catholic grade school, Catholic high school, and some Catholic college, and each of these institutions require varying degrees of dollars in "thousands". and since 1985 too. What choice do we have? We have to spend the money ,not necessarily for a better education, but so that they can receive the fullness of a "Catholic" education. So that they will become a caring people with integrity, and some self discipline - "Holy Catholics".While people that my husband works with are carting away cash in wheelbarrows ( seriously, most firemen are comfortable financially because they work two jobs ,and their wives work , AND they may have 1 or 2 kids.), we will never be able to retire. We can't save anything. Even so, I am the most frugal woman on the planet, everyone who knows me would agree.
When I am on my deathbed, and there is no food left, and the money is gone, and the surgeries go undone, and the meds run out ,and they simply pull the plug, because the electric bill hasn't been paid............. Know this Lord!, Know it!.......... It was all for you. Everything!! Each ,and every person that I bore , "my yes - my will " was my gift to you. It's all that I had to give ,and I would do it again, even if it kills me.........Jesus I trust in you.
Proverbs 3 5
Have confidence in the Lord with all thy heart, and lean not upon thy own prudence.
Mark 10
24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus again answering, saith to them: Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches, to enter into the kingdom of God?

The lovely Spring day that Dad brought home a "Weed Eater".

My father brought home this new invention one fine spring day back in the 1970's . My brother , and I had to use the old style hand clippers, and we would clip the entire circumference of our yard most every other Sunday - by hand, but even with our blisters we still clipped on.
My family wasn't religious. Only I was (I am a genetic fluke), and I use to sit on the ground , and clip , and talk to God. (just like today only now I use my computer) Occasionally I would attend a church located two towns away, but only if they sent their bus around .
My Dad was excited , and in a good mood on the day that he brought this "Weed-eater" home,
in fact we all were. (We were hoping that our clipping days were finally over. ) Dad began to work with his NEW weed eater holding it upside down onto his belly. He was trying to figure out if he had enough string in the bottom, and how to thread it through properly, he yelled at my Mom in his mean grouchy voice -to hold the other end and in a certain way too , but then my Mom who was holding the handle accidentally pulled the trigger , and it whips the hell out of my Dads belly, while he screams , but she didn't know that she was holding the trigger, and making it all happen, so she didn't stop. He looks at my Mom , and cusses like it's the apocalypse or something, and yells to her , "get your %#$@# blank, %$#$%%*%@# blank, hands off of the trigger Alice. My Mom replies, "oh Jim, I am sooo, sooo sorry". I didn't know that I was pulling the trigger. Then Dad composed himself- barely-, and you could tell that he was hurting, and really, really angry. At least he didn't cry , then they resumed the same position, and then Mom pulls the trigger- again, accidentally whipping his gut , and again we hear the hole litany of cuss words, perhaps even some newly created ones , then Mom pipes in again - "Oh Jim" , "I am sooo sorry," then Dad said something "smart- ass" like why don't you just kill me already, and at that point my brother , and I both kinda wanted to slap her too, because she was making all of our lives more miserable - much harder than it usually was, and it usually sucked to begin with...........
Today I think -"thank God that Dad didn't ask Mom to hold a chainsaw or else we would have been orphans - my brother ,and I.

K-Mart made me feel bad about myself.

My pillow had become un-pillowy, and flat.
So I drove myself with our 3 teens in the car to "J.C. Penney's ". We went to the "linens" department and walked to the back corner of the store , where I bumped into two men who were laughing hysterically.
The younger man was making fun of the older man, and joking around about how "old" the other guy was , and laughing about how poor the older man's "vision" had become , and while they were laughing I said to the young man.
Well you know how it works don't you? One day you will look into your bathroom mirror, and you will yell back at yourself- in horror, saying thing's like -" What in the hell has happened to me?", and when did this happen? Followed by you mumbling to yourself something like - "what can be done to fix this?".... The older man said, " yeah, and when you wake up you'll also find that you now have "Man boobs". I thought to myself - well that's just great,"Man- boobs, - I'll get an up-grade.
Then the kids , and I went to K-mart, because Penney's didn't have any feather pillows , and the only ones that K-Mart had were called "The Grandma Pillow". I thought to myself, "well that's a "passive agressive"name. I just can't buy anything that says's "Grandma" on it." I was feeling bad about myself anyway, but I broke down, and bought it ,because feather pillows are getting harder to find. Still I was so bummed about the name, and about myself that I had a lump in my throat as I was checking out , and I thought to myself as the cashier was ringing me up in a - "passive aggressive- sad sort of way", (much like a Belinda - "pity party") yeah well , while your at it- why don't you just thrown in a "Clapper", and a bed pan too."

Over on "Drudge"

Mr.Obama it kinda creeps me out that you start the very beginning of your presidency with the people who supported you angry with you.

If there isn't peace ,and good times now, then I am wondering what will be in store for us.

People hate it when they feel that they have been betrayed by their own.

I could go on , and on about this ... I am a "Catholic".

The tax man cometh for New Yorkers - over on "Drudge"

Dear God how much can people take?
And while we're chatting God- Please care for , and comfort your homeless people who sleep outside , especially now in this horrible weather.
Please God.

Yep, He did this.

Joseph still couldn't figure out what they were though, because he can't read..
